Mock Duck

For people who's family likes eating duck, but can't get their hands on it.

Ingredients:

450g Red lentils
2 Large onions
1/2 Tsp Sage
1/2 Tsp Sweet herbs
100g Rice or Mashed potatoes (Or a mixture of both)
25g Fat
4 Pints stock
Brown sauce

First, wash the lentils carefully, and grease a baking tray. Next, chop up and lightly fry the onions, then put into a saucepan with the lentils and the stock. Boil until the lentils are soft. Add the potatoes/rice/mixture, then place on the greased baking tray and shape like a duck. (A roast duck, not a live one.) Then, put in a hot oven, and wait for it to go a golden brown, occasionly pouring the fat over the top. Once done, serve on a heated dish, with brown sauce. If it gets too dry, add more stock.
